STOCKS – The Stoxx Europe 600 Index headed for a three-week high, with banks outperforming after Federal Reserve chair nominee Jerome Powell signaled he won’t add to financial regulations. The DJIA and S&P 500 futures traded to new record highs ahead of the Wall Street opening bell.
BONDS – Risk on flows pushed the yield on 10-year Treasuries higher, Germany’s 10-year yield increased two basis points to 0.34 percent, the biggest increase in almost three weeks.
COMMODITIES – West Texas Intermediate crude dipped 0.9 percent to $57.48 a barrel, the lowest in more than a week.
CURRENCIES – The British pound strengthened after the U.K. cleared a major Brexit hurdle. US Dollar strength across most currencies.
