WORLD HEADLINES – Global stocks jumped higher on Thursday as investors responded to signs of an easing of Sino-U.S. trade tensions by dipping back into riskier assets.
STOCKS – The S&P 500 posted the 26th move of 1% or more this year, triple the total in 2017.
BONDS – The yield on 10-year Treasuries gained two basis points to 2.83 percent, the highest in more than a week.
COMMODITIES – Gold dipped 0.4 percent to $1,327.40 an ounce. West Texas Intermediate crude declined less than 0.05 percent to $63.35 a barrel.
CURRENCIES – The Australian dollar decreased 0.4 percent, the largest dip in more than a week.
ECONOMIC DATA – US Unemployment Claims and CAD Trade Balance due at 8:30, Natural Gas Storage at 10:30 ET.
