STOCKS – Asian shares closed lower, European stocks rose and US stock futures trading lower ahead of the Wall Street open.
BONDS – Treasuries advanced, recovering some of their decline yesterday, as traders sought the relative safety of U.S. debt after Russia unexpectedly raised interest rates.
COMMODITIES – Gold rebounded from yesterday’s biggest drop this year as investors sought a haven amid slumping emerging market equities and falling commodities.
CURRENCIES – The yen gained to the strongest level versus the dollar in four weeks.
ECONOMIC DATA – US Building Permits and CAD Manufacturing Sales m/m AT 8:30 ET.
